Medecins du Monde (MdM) is an international humanitarian organization whose mission is to provide medical care for the most vulnerable populations, the world over, including France. It seeks to stimulate voluntary commitment from doctors, other health care providers, and from those whose expertise in other fields is needed for its activities, to enlist all competent support required for the achievement of its projects, and to seek at all times to encourage close working relationships with populations in its care.

For our program in Ukraine, to support our activities, we are looking for Driver, based in Stanitsa Luhanska.
Under the supervision of the Logistician Assistant, the Driver carries fallowing responsibilities:
Driving
Driving vehicles, passengers and materials/equipment safely and secure
Adapting his/her behavior and driving to assure passengers' security, equipment and the rest of road/street users (drivers, pedestrians, etc.).
Always drive according to the Ukrainian traffic regulations and respecting speed limits
Respect internal security rules
Any other passengers except MDM staff during his service are forbidden (unless it is authorized by the line manager)
Weapons in the vehicle or passengers with weapons are forbidden
Phone calls during driving are not allowed
Always wearing safety belt while driving and ensuring all passengers do the same
Ensuring having a valid driving license and medical certificate and always have it ready for any eventual inspection
Ensuring that all necessary documents are valid and renewed before the expiration date (yearly road safety check, registration of main drivers with the rental company, etc.)
Maintenance of the vehicle
Checking on a daily basis the vehicle's technical conditions, oils and liquids according to traffic rules of Ukraine.
Checking the technical conditions at the reception before leaving the garage/parking, and at the delivery at the end of working day providing to line manager information on any technical issue
Alerting line manager in case of technical problem or need for maintenance
Organizing or if possible carrying out any necessary maintenance after validation of the line manager
Ensuring the vehicle is clean on the inside and outside
Ensuring all necessary equipment and material is present in the vehicle and in good condition (tools, spare wheel, airlift, belts, ropes, etc.)
Refilling the fuel tank each time the tank is at ? of its capacity (and provide through line manager all documents connected to administrative department to confirm the expenditures)
Other duties/responsibilities:
Remaining stand-by in the office in between movements
Fill a logbook with kilometers and fuel consumption he does - for MdM cars
Participating in local purchases of goods for the mission, upon instruction and under the supervision of the Logistic department
Participating in collecting quotations and checking prices for purchase of goods and services upon instruction and under the supervision of the Logistic department
Contact suppliers
Assistance in loading/unloading and moving small and medium loads
Supporting the logistics department for manual tasks
Participate in internal work meetings and inform MdM team on log issues
Report any security related issues to the line manager
Supporting operational organisation of field trips
Maintaining full confidentiality for all work-related information

Minimum Level of Competency:
Minimum 5 years of driving experience;
Valid driving licence (category B) and medical certificate;
Good knowledge of roads of Lugansk region;
Basic knowledge of English is mandatory.
