ead Pipeline Engineer - Kazakhstan Job Description We now have an exciting new role within our busy Pipelines Group based in Kazakhstan. This is a 3-5 year opportunity commencing in January 2015. LEAD PIPELINES ENGINEER - ONSHORE
Candidates will be able to:-
Demonstrate experience in Leading an Onshore pipeline engineering team in the provision of Conceptual, FEED or detailed design activities
Perform and check pipeline calculations and design.
Demonstrate technical capability and knoweldge in the field of onshore pipelines and flowlines
Lead the development of proposals
Work independently and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
Perform all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, prepare/maintain schedules, develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, assign work, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities
Perform detailed engineering for onshore pipelines and related facilities
Prepare and perform estimates, schedules, man-hour, manpower and material forecasts.
Perform and assist in audits.
Prepare, as required, schedules, estimates, progress reports, meetings, procurement activities, etc.
Assist, as required, in the development of Pipeline Department methods, standards and procedures.
Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs
Actively participate in, promote, and maximize the use of, Fluor’s Pipeline Knowledge Community and other available resources.
Become familiar with the Pipeline Knowledge Community, Fluor Operating Systems, and Fluor standards and procedures.
Assist in the development and training of other engineers in the department
Participate in general training programs and Fluor activities.
Support the Discipline on assignments, as required.
Perform squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.
Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals.
Actively participate in external technical seminars and self-enrol in advance management training courses.
Assist in developing client relations.
Perform internal and external presentations
Focus on performance development input and counseling.
Provide closer interface with, and promote understanding of, other discipline functions.
Assist in leading pipeline field construction management.
Other duties as assigned.
Key interfaces will be with other project team members, Clients, Vendors, Sub-contractors. Detailed knowledge of International Pipeline Codes and Standards
Large cross country pipelines transporting oil and gas
Engineering of Pipeline facilities including HDD, Stations, Marine terminals and field development programs
Experience in ALL phases of a project development including Conceptual, FEED and details design
