I’m very happy to have heard back from you. Yours was also a very nice letter, and I thank you for it. Don’t be shy because of your English – it is much better than my Russian! The important thing is that we are able to communicate.

I hope that you find the man you are looking for. Perhaps I will be that man :-) It does appear that we already have much in common (I especially like your ideas for winter nights!), and I like that we are both open to new experiences. I think that is a good combination for two people coming from different backgrounds – a common basis for understanding and plenty of room to learn and grow together.

I confess that I know little of Georgia beyond the facts that it was part of the Soviet Union, the Russians invaded a few years ago, and Stalin was Georgian. I’m pretty sure that there are much more meaningful things for me to learn about it. As with you, my parents are still together – almost 53 years now – and like you, I want to find that sort of love and relationship.

If you’ll permit me, I’ll share a bit more about myself. I have two children, a son who is 21 and a daughter who will turn 20 next month. They both live with their mother when they are not at university. My son wants to become a nuclear engineer and work with nuclear power while my daughter would like to become a veterinarian at Sea World so that she can work with marine mammals. I work as a computer programmer for a small distributor of steel tubing. I am currently close to finishing a very interesting project developing some analytical tools for our purchasing department. It has presented quite a few puzzles that I have been able to solve.

May I ask what caused you to move around so much? And please tell me about your work and about your son. I am anxious to get to know you better as you seem to possess a wonderful combination of warmth, strength of character, ability, and attractiveness. Please write back soon :-)
